General Team 21 September 2022

Starting the first of January, Jeroen Dingemans, Loïc Segaert, Sander Cordeel and Britt Lambrecht will join the performance team of Lotto Dstny. The team takes another step with its performance department and will be able to monitor and guide riders of both the Development and professional team more closely.

Nikolas Maes and Maxime Monfort lead the performance department at Lotto Soudal and will continue to do so. From next season, they will get the support of Jeroen Dingemans (head of performance coördinator), Loïc Segaert (performance coördinator), Sander Cordeel (performance coördinator) and Britt Lambrecht (diëtiste). “We are very happy with these reinforcements”, explains Maxime Monfort. “All four are young, enthousiast specialists. Experts in their domains and aware of the latest techniques. They will all maintain close relationships with our riders. We are full of confidence that we will be able to grow to a higher level together with them. Unfortunately, this means we have to end our collaboration with EnergyLab. We want to thank them for the long and successful collaboration over the years.”

Jeroen Dingemans, head of performance coordinator: “I was already training Florian Vermeersch and Cedric Beullens, but will dedicate myself fulltime to the team next year. Together with Loïc Segaert en Sander Cordeel I will play a central role within the team, where we will work closely together with everyone involved in performance within Lotto Dstny. The integration within the team and the close connection to everyone involved with how the riders function, will help this team take the next step, I am sure of that. I am looking forward to working together with all those young, talented and ambitious riders and staffmembers.”

Loïc Segaert, performance coördinator: “The two main domains I will focus on, will be time trials and the U23 riders. Next to that, I will also guide some pro riders in their training plans. Windtunneltests, pacing plans, but also coaching will be my tasks. I am looking forward to this new challenge a lot. You can really feel how this team wants to improve itself and it is a pleasure to get the confidence with this new performance team. We have a lot of young and talented riders, both in the U23 as the pros. The goal will be to grow to a higher level together as riders and a team.”

Sander Cordeel, performance coordinator: “To me this feels a bit like coming home: I was a rider for the Lotto team for two years. After that, I have developed myself as a trainer/coach. I cannot wait to get started with this new challenge and am very much looking forward to working together closely with this talented group of riders. The close connection with both riders as specialists will help us move forward.”

Britt Lambrecht, nutritionist: “Together with Gino Devriendt, who has been working with the team already for a longer period of time, I will work on our riders’ nutrition more intensively. I will be present during training camps and races a lot to maintain a close connection with the riders and staff. I have seen already how strong and talented this group of riders is. Thanks to the steps we are taking in the performance team, we put these young talents in a position where they can step up together with the team.”
