ProTeam Tomasz Marczyński to leave Tour de Luxembourg

Team Lotto Soudal decided to send home its rider Tomasz MarczyÅ„ski after he showed viral symptoms in the Tour de Luxembourg. Following the team’s protocol, his close contacts (one staff member, as well as his roommate Harm Vanhoucke) will be sent home as well.

A PCR test, specific to SARS-Cov-2, revealed a negative result for Tomasz MarczyÅ„ski. The team doctor and team management however did not take any risk and decided to take these isolation measures. He will undergo more tests today to find the cause of his symptoms.

Priority for Team Lotto Soudal is to protect the health of the team and the race. The Team wishes Tomasz MarczyÅ„ski a speedy recovery.
